Ensign Kepler Measures Airflow Stability

2015

Ensign Kepler’s new wing airfoil design faces its crucial test. In flight, his wing is most efficient if the airflow across it is smooth and undisturbed. As the flight regime, or angle of attack, becomes more extreme, however, at some point the flow must break into turbulence and the wing loses effectiveness.

Will our resourceful young officer’s wing airfoil design be a success?
